ARLINGTON, Texas -- Adam Rosales got the pitch he was expecting from Los Angeles Angels closer Huston Street on Sunday. The Texas utilityman hit that pitch over drawn-in left fielder Collin Cowgill for an RBI single, capping a two-run rally in the ninth inning that lifted the Rangers over the Angels 3-2. ""His scouting report is that he throws 60 to 70 per cent sliders, so youre looking to hit that pitch," Rosales said. "Once you see the ball drop, you get that release of joy. Its a happy feeling." Texas had lost four in a row overall, and nine straight to the Angels. Los Angeles had won its last four games. Rosales drove in the winning run for the second time in six days -- the only games Texas won on a seven-game homestand. His single was the Rangers fourth straight hit off Street to begin the ninth. Alex Rios and Adrian Beltre opened with singles, setting up RBI singles by Mike Carp and Rosales. Rosales ended a 5-4 victory over Tampa Bay on Tuesday with a bases-loaded walk in the 14th. Street (1-1) had saved the first two games of the three-game series. The blown save was his second in 35 opportunities with the Angels and Padres. Street had not given up a run since being acquired from San Diego on July 18 until Carps tying single. "I didnt make very good pitches today," Street said. "Thats the bottom line. I felt fine." Neftali Feliz (1-1) pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Cowgills bases-loaded single and Kole Calhouns RBI grounder drove in second-inning runs against Nick Tepesch. "That second inning could have really got ugly in the past," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "This was the new Nick Tepesch. Its starting to come together for him." Tepesch went seven innings for the second straight start. Angels starter Hector Santiago pitched six innings, allowing a run and four hits. Rosales singled, stole second base and scored on Rougned Odors single in the fifth. Tepesch left after a leadoff walk to Mike Trout in the eighth. The Angels loaded the bases with no outs, but didnt score. "In the end," Washington said, "We were able to get their closer." When I got out there I felt pretty good. Its going to take a lot to miss a game so I was pretty happy that I was able to play. After starting the season with just three points in 11 games, Marchand also picked up an assist to double his season point total. And his game-tying goal in the third period was unconventional; The goal at 14:30 of the third period was reviewed after he redirected Loui Erikssons shot past Enroth with his hand. But the score stood.I know it did hit my arm there so I was definitely nervous, Marchand said. I was hoping no one would see it on the replay, but it got in and luckily they called it a goal.Drew Stafford and Tyler Ennis each had a goal and an assist for the Sabres, who remain winless at home this season.Adam McQuaid also scored for the Bruins, and Niklas Svedberg made 13 saves for his second win of the season. Both came against Buffalo.Jhonas Enroth made 34 saves for Buffalo, and at times had Boston frustrated. Despite outplaying the Sabres for long stretches, the Bruins watched as Buffalo scored on two of three second-period shots. The three shots is great, but the two goals is not so much, Bruins coachh Claude Julien said.ddddddddddddBuffalos first power-play goal of the season came on its 34th opportunity, as Stafford received a cross-ice pass from Ennis, who had skated from behind the net. Svedberg could not get across in time to stop Staffords wrist shot at the 5:12 of the second.Thats something you need to take pride in, Chris Stewart said. Its just embarrassing, unacceptable to go 0-for this long. The Bruins tied the game at 11:36 when McQuaids shot deflected off Mike Weber and past Enroths left skate.Marcus Foligno created a breakaway with about five minutes remaining in the period, and stepped around Bruins defenceman Dougie Hamilton before Svedberg stopped a low shot with his right pad.Buffalo retook the lead at 16:25 of the second off a three-way play started by Stafford in his zone. His bank shot off the boards found Torrey Mitchell on a 2-on-1 break with Ennis, who finished the chance with a hard wrister. It was good to get a point against Boston, Ennis said. We wanted two points, but we got to stay positive. The Bruins referred to the victory as a character win that includes what they hope will be Marchands breakout performance. He can be pretty slippery, but hes been playing a lot on the outside with the puck and without it and it doesnt bode well for him, Julien said. So its nice to see him get rewarded with the things that he needs to do.NOTES: Buffalo managed just seven shots in the second and third periods combined. Chris Stewart fought Milan Lucic just 51 seconds into the game. ' ' '
