Care sunt avantajele travaliului in apa?
Relaxare – efectul calmant al apei iti poate usura travaliul. Atunci cand esti incordata, contractiile tind sa isi piarda ritmicitatea si sa ingreuneze nasterea. Apa impiedica acest fenomen si te ajuta sa fii mai relaxata, sa respiri cu mai mult calm si sa resimti mai putin durerea. Atunci cand respiri scurt si neregulat, contractiile sunt mai dureroase.

Gravitatea te ajuta – atunci cand esti intr-un bazin cu apa, ai posibilitatea sa stai intr-o pozitie care sa ii permita copilului sa iasa natural. De exemplu, daca stai in pozitie verticala, copilul va aluneca mult mai bine si tie iti va fi mult mai usor sa impingi.
Nasterea va fi placuta si pentru copil – multi specialisti in domeniu afirma ca tranzitia de la mediul din burta la cel extern este mai putin traumatizanta pentru copiii nascuti in apa. Apa calduta a bazinului seamana intr-un fel cu locul in care bebelusul si-a petrecut cele noua luni de dinaintea nasterii. Copiii nascuti in apa sunt de multe ori mai calmi si plang mai putin fata de cei nascuti prin metodele clasice.

Infectiile – atunci cand impingi copilul, este posibil sa elimini si fecale. Acest lucru poate duce la riscul de infectii pentru nou-nascut.
