Asistentele vor recolta sange, se vor semna actele, se va plasa un cateter, se va rade abdomenul viitoarei mamici, iar apoi se va muta mama in sala de operatie. Tatal nu va intra in sala de operatie, pana cand nu are loc anestezierea mamei si draparea pentru chirurgie, aproximativ 20 de minute.
In cazul in care mamei i se face anestezie generala, tatalui ii este interzis sa intre in sala de operatie. In aceste cazuri tatalui i se va arata copilul in cel mai scurt timp. Operatia dureaza de obicei intre 30 de minute si o ora.

Cezariana planificata
O operatie de cezariana planificata este mult mai usoara, pentru toti cei implicati. Ca viitori parinti, veti primi consiliere impreuna, informatii despre procedura, de la medic si veti avea destul timp pentru a va pregati.
La o cezariana programata, procedurile sunt exact ca cele mentionate mai sus, cu diferenta unui ritm mai pe indelete. Tatal nu va intra nici in acest caz, pana mama nu este anesteziata si drapata pentru operatie.
Apoi tatal va parasi sala de operatie, cand bebelusul este dus in sala pentru nou nascuti si va sta cu mama in sala de recuperare, cand aceasta va fi adusa din sala de operatie.

Dupa operatia de cezariana
In timpul recuperarii, dupa operatia de cezariana, se asteapta semne vitale, se monitorizeaza frecvent mama timp de 2 ore.
Asa se procedeaza in cazul anestezie dupa nastere, care este necesara pentru o interventie chirurgicala, daca mamei i s-a facut anestezie totala, se asteapta ca ea sa fie treaza si sa nu aiba dureri.
Se administreaza medicamente in caz ca mama semnaleaza greturi, mancarimi sau dureri. In cazul anesteziei totale, de obicei femeile se trezesc fie ametite fie cu dureri mari, in aceste cazuri durerea trebuie controlata cu analgezice.
La doua ore dupa operatie, bebelusul va fi adus la mama. Va putea sta cu mama atata timp cat ea considera. Trebuie sa te astepti ca mama si copilul vor sta cam 2-5 zile in spital, in functie de circumstantele chirurgicale, de starea de sanatate a mamei.
Daca totul a decurs bine, se vor permite vizitele din partea familiei si a prietenilor inca din prima ora de viata a copilului.
In rolul tau de tata, trebuie sa fii pregatit sa oferi sprijin emotional si fizic mamei pentru ca impreuna sa va puteti bucura de nou nascut si a-l sustine in timpul dezvoltarii sale.
