Copiii isi comunica frica in moduri diferite.
Frica si refuzul de a merge la scoala sunt comune atunci cand copiii schimba profesorii sau salile de clasa sau atunci cand merg la o scoala noua.
Copiii refuza sa mearga la scoala din mai multe motive:
- Se tem sa isi paraseasca parintii si sa fie lasati singuri intr-un loc nou
- Se tem de ceea ce vor face ceilalti copii.
Iti prezentam mai jos cateva idei despre cum pot parintii raspunde la temerile copiilor.
Discuta cu cel mic despre scoala cu putin timp inainte. Ar trebui sa faci acest lucru si dupa inceperea scolii. Asculta si fii interesata de ceea ce iti spune.
Spune-i ca intelegi ce simte si ca nu spui ca nu ar trebui sa se simta in acest fel. Uneori, copiii trebuie doar sa gandeasca cu voce tare si teama lor va disparea in cele din urma.
Citeste-i copilului o carte despre mersul la scoala. Vei invata o multime de lucruri despre cum sa iti ajuti copilul sa se simta inteles si sa nu ii mai fie frica.

Incepeti o rutina inainte de inceperea anului scolar prin trezitul devreme, luarea micului dejun, imbracarea si pregatirea ghiozdanului pentru scoala. Ajuta-l sa isi aleaga hainele cu o seara inainte. Rutina familiara il va ajuta.
Unii copii obisnuiesc sa se uita la televizor cand se trezesc dimineata. Evita sau limiteaza timpul petrecut la televizor de copilul tau in diminetile cand trebuie sa mearga la scoala.
Incepe aceasta rutina cu cateva zile inainte de inceperea scolii. Stinge televizorul la sfarsitul unei emisiuni, nu in mijlocul ei. Copiii sunt distrasi de televiziune si sunt suparati daca le opresti televizorul in mijlocul unei emisiuni.
Aproape toti copiii vor avea reticente si temeri de a merge la scoala. Ei trec in cele din urma peste asta prin incurajare si sprijin din partea parintilor si familiei.
Dar indiferent de cat timp este nevoie, nu te enerva atunci cand copilul tau iti spune ca este bolnav, devine temperamental sau incepe sa planga. Stai calma, asculta-l, incurajeaza-l si nu ridica vocea. Spune-i ca il iubesti si ca toti copiii trebuie sa mearga la scoala.
Dupa ce a inceput scoala, multi copii vor exprima dorinta de a nu mai merge la ore. Asta este o parte naturala a cresteri lor si a faptului ca devin independenti.
Cand il duci la scoala, evita sa lungesti prea mult momentul in care va luat ramas bun. Copilul tau va deveni din ce in ce mai suparat daca ii oferi o perioada mai lunga de ramas bun ori de cate ori este suparat.
Unii copii refuza fizic sa mearga la scoala. Cei mai multi vor trece peste asta daca parintii sunt intelegatori, rabdatori si sunt fermi in decizii.
Suna la scoala copilului tau si cere sa vorbesti cu un consilier sau cu un profesor, daca micutul tau devine ostil si combativ, atunci cand vrei sa il duci la scoala. Profesorii au o vasta experienta si numeroase idei care va pot ajuta.
